Unlike typical residential developments that prioritize privacy through separation, Cedar Residences were designed to enhance connection — physically, visually, and socially. Each level is thoughtfully oriented to maximize daylight, open views, and interaction, while terraces function as shared spaces where neighbors can naturally meet and engage.

Cedar’s unique architectural form introduced significant structural challenges. The rotation of each unit above the other disrupted traditional structural logic, making conventional column systems impossible. Columns could not continue vertically through multiple floors, which meant that each unit needed to bear the load of the ones above.
To address this challenge, we developed an innovative load-transfer system capable of distributing the building’s weight efficiently through each unit and channeling it into the solid rock foundation below. This intelligent engineering solution preserved the architectural vision while ensuring full structural stability.
