Larc 1400

Larsen 1400 is a landmark residential development situated on the northern mountains of Tehran. Inspired by the region’s traditional stepped architecture, the design allows each lower roof to function as a private terrace for the apartment above. This terraced configuration integrates the building naturally into the landscape, maximizes outdoor living areas, and ensures uninterrupted mountain views while honoring local architectural heritage.

Project Area: 34,200 m²
Location: Iran
Type: Residential

Challenge

The steep terrain presented the project’s main challenge. With nearly twelve levels embedded directly into the mountain slope, the design required precise terrace formation, controlled excavation, and innovative vertical circulation planning. Access from the main road posed additional complexity due to a sharp incline, demanding reinforced structural and infrastructural solutions to ensure safe and efficient site entry.

Execution

Through careful coordination between architectural vision and engineering requirements, we developed a stable, slope-responsive structure capable of handling the site’s dramatic gradient. Detailed planning, multidisciplinary collaboration, and continuous technical supervision allowed us to resolve terrain-related constraints while preserving the terraced design and its strong connection to the landscape.
